Event Details
Location: Astoria Park, Queens
(I’ll share the specific spot the morning of.)
This 60-minute guided journaling session creates space for you to reflect on your recent experiences by:
expressing gratitude
acknowledging growth
savoring good times
I first created this ritual as a solo practice, as a way to capture and savor brighter spots of meaning, even (and especially) when life felt hard. I found that it amplified my joy on great days, too, so I’m excited to share it with you – no matter what you’re going through.
I’ll provide paper, pens, and clipboards. (If you prefer to write in your own journal, that’s OK, too.) I will also provide a few reflection prompts, and we'll divide our time between solo writing and discussing themes from our responses.

Most humans have a negativity bias: a tendency to over-emphasize the doom and under-appreciate what’s in bloom. A gratitude practice offers an antidote to that, creating an opportunity to look at our lives in a more comprehensive way.
We’ll be focusing on highlights, but this is not a zone of toxic positivity. We can celebrate the bright spots while still acknowledging the hard truths that surround them, and without pretending like everything balances out in the end.
Over time, you can use your reflections to uncover patterns in the experiences that you find especially fulfilling or rewarding. This allows you to develop and sustain a personal ‘recipe’ for enjoying a greater sense of purpose in your life.

This session is held outside, to help you think beyond the everyday barriers that constrain our perspectives.
Because it is an outdoor event, it may be canceled due to inclement weather (like rain, snow, or extreme temperatures).
If your session is canceled because of weather, I’ll email with details for how to change your registration to another date or refund your purchase.
